Outline of the Programme

The structure of the programme is as follows:

• A motor vehicle Level 2 VRQ qualification focusing on vehicle maintenance & repair and vehicle fitting principals will be delivered to provide learners with knowledge and skills. There are a number of VRQ qualifications that are currently proposed for delivery within the programme. These qualifications are currently offered by City & Guilds and IMI Awards, though we are happy to invite onboard other Awarding Organisations who are interested in delivering for the programme.

• A minimum of 20 days motor vehicle work experience will take place to give the learner an opportunity to experience the real world of work in a motor vehicle environment and also a chance to put the knowledge and skills they have learned through their VRQ qualification into practice.

· Added enrichment will be delivered via the IMI's Indicate project, which is a free curriculum-linked teacher and student resource focusing on building the learners skills in Mathematics and Literacy by contextualizing to the motor industry.
