Any UK business, employing at least two people, which can demonstrate outstanding achievement in its field should consider applying for this highest honour recognising business success.
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise differ from other business awards as there is no set number of winners in each category. Each application is judged rigorously on its own merits, so if a company's performance and achievement is deemed outstanding for its size, it is likely to win an Award.
Even if unsuccessful, all entrants will receive written feedback on their application, which acts as a useful benchmarking exercise, helping companies identify areas for improvement - and it's FREE!
Although they may not realise it, IMI members and their businesses could well be a contender for a Queen's Award, since they already are committed to professional excellence as members.
There are no fees involved in submitting an entry - the only investment required is the time it takes to prepare a strong application.
The deadline for applications for 2005 is 31 October 2004. For further information on the Queen's Awards for Enterprise and an application form, visit www.queensawards.org.uk or call 0870 513 4486.
