Mia Electric Vehicles

Thursday 23rd February 2012 - 19.45pm (6.30pm for test drives!)

Introducing the "mia" electric vehicle of today; because electric mobility is no longer a thing of the future, it is here and the perfect companion for you and your family.

Like all projects, it started with a blank sheet of paper asking the same question, what does the customer really need for urban mobility?  The mia has a range of 100 miles, which is more than enough regardless of whether it is the school run, going shopping or your daily urban work commute.

Designed by the former head of design at Volkswagen, Murat Günak, the mia comes in three sizes - a standard short wheelbase model, an extended mia L and a mia box van.  They all have a central driving seat accessible on both sides of the vehicle and are powered by an 18-kilowatt electric motor situated at the rear of the vehice.  The 12 kWh battery pack can be fully charged in five hours from a domestic power socket.
