About us
LV= is the UK's largest friendly society. Today, we have more than four million customers, of which over one million are members, and we manage assets in excess of £9 billion. Our mission is to help people look after what they love, whether that's their family's financial security, their home, their retirement, their car, even their pets.
We're famous for providing a first-class service for our customers, as well as a great place to work for our people. We have 5,000 employees across the UK and with ambitious growth plans for the future; we're committed to behaving like a mutual while performing like a PLC.
About the role
Joining our Motor Claims team in Brentwood, you'll help us to manage claims in the most cost effective manner. Using your strong technical skills, you'll look at a claim and decide on the best course of action. You'll then make sure, again calling on your vehicle repair expertise, that all repair work being carried out is appropriate, to the highest of standards and represents good commercial value. Where necessary, you'll ask one of our Regional Engineers to visit a garage to verify the repair estimate or to examine the repair once the work is complete. As one of our vehicle repair experts, you'll also be on hand to answer a range of internal and external queries.
This role is office-based.
About you
As well as a City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft (Parts 1 and 2) and an Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) or equivalent qualification, you'll be a full member of the Institute of Automotive Engineering Assessors (IAEA) or working towards this. You'll also have plenty of relevant vehicle repairs experience under your practical belt, plus good knowledge of Thatcham times/methodology, and computer assisted estimating systems. A great ambassador for LV= you'll be a confident professional negotiator.
Benefits
As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy 26 days' holiday (with the option to buy and sell more), annual bonus scheme (up to 30% of salary), pension scheme, and a range of impressive flexible benefits to choose from. You'll also receive generous discounts on a range of LV= products.
