Skoda tops BusinessCar website ranking

Skoda Auto has been commended for having the best fleet website by BusinessCar magazine.

The company improved its ranking considerably when compared with its achievements in the BusinessCar ranking last year, leaping seven places to take the top spot with a rating of 86 per cent.

Some 20 companies were given a ranking by the trade publication and five firms made it into joint-second with 84 per cent. They were Honda, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault and Seat.

The websites were assessed on several criteria, including design, ease of use and the speed with which the companies responded to enquiries.

BusinessCar editor-in-chief Tristan Young said: "Competition was hotter than ever this year. It’s great to see so many car makers put so much effort into their fleet websites."

"That's why this year we made our testing even more rigorous and now include marks for having a presence on Twitter," he added.

At the start of this week, Skoda announced it was close to meeting its sales targets for 2009.ADNFCR-290-ID-19469597-ADNFCR
