Mercedes-Benz UK has made a positive start to the new year, by already posting record sales figures.
Registrations at the German automotive manufacturer topped 6,249 vehicles during January 2012 – a 20 per cent jump on the statistics recorded in the same month in 2011.
The research was revealed by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and highlighted that Mercedes-Benz UK has been able to achieve a record market share of 4.85 per cent during January.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive of the well-known vehicle maker, pointed out: "Strong new car sales to private customers have been helped with our attractive finance offers and service contracts being backed-up with great service and supply from our factories - we can get them, and we can sell them!"
News of Mercedes-Benz UK's success comes soon after Skoda recorded its own milestone, after the Czech firm rolled off its 14-millionth car from its production line.
