Haulage firm takes Iveco delivery

A Scottish haulage firm has taken delivery of its first Iveco vehicle, which will join the company's 18-strong fleet of tippers and mixers.

New Cumnock-based Iain Watt Haulage part-exchanged on of its existing five-year-old vehicles for the new Trakker AD340T41K with local Iveco dealership Kerr and Smith.

The vehicle, which is suitable for both on and off-road use, has been fitted with a Penta tipping mechanism and an insulated steel body manufactured by Boweld.

Iain Watt, managing director of the Scottish haulage operation, said: "Until we took delivery of the Trakker our fleet was comprised solely of Scanias and Volvos."

He added: "Since the Trakker entered service it’s been performing well and the driver is very pleased with it."

The truck weighs 32 tonnes, and is powered by Iveco's Euro 5 Cursor 13 engine, which boasts 410hp and anything up to 1,900rpm.

Recently, Iveco appointed Iceni Trucks to its dealership network in North London and East Anglia.ADNFCR-290-ID-19469581-ADNFCR
