Achievement of both Part A and Part B of the Training Quality Standard (TQS) provides principal evidence for IMI, industry 'Recognition of Training Excellence' and proves that a tough core benchmark quality standard for delivering training and development solutions to employers/customers has been met.
Additionally, TQS achievers will have the right to sign up to an IMI 'Code of Practice' designed to drive professionalism and integrity in the way in which training is managed and delivered and to futher set quality learning providers apart from others.
The TQS is available to all learning providers regardless of their location within the four nations of the UK (or within Europe upon agreement), or the way in which they are funded.
The TQS is a framework set out in two parts, focussing on employer/customer responsiveness in Part A and specialisation and vocational excellence in Part B.
The benefits and more information can be found at http://www.trainingqualitystandard.co.uk/
The retail motor industry Part B guidance document can also be found on the TQS website or by clicking here.
In their capacity as a Sector Skills Council the IMI have a desktop reviewing role of Part B applications which forms part of the assessment process for certification.
