Twenty years of success for AkzoNobel Automotive and Aerospace Coatings

AkzoNobel Automotive and Aerospace Coatings, leading provider of paints and services for the automotive industry, this month congratulated Autospray, one of its Acoat Selected bodyshops, on achieving 20 years of success in the automotive and body repairs industry.

Dave Boulton, Managing Director, founded Autospray in 1991 when the business comprised of just himself and 1000sq feet of work space. Since then the company has grown from strength to strength. It has moved to a larger premises and now employees 16 members of staff, all of which have been ATA Senior trained. Autospray was also one of the first bodyshops in Cornwall to attain the BSI Kitemark PAS 125.

Today, Autospray boasts approvals from two global car manufacturers - Mitsubishi and Volkswagen - a tremendous achievement for a bodyshop that began with only two people 20 years ago.

In 2007 Autospray was awarded Acoat Selected status by AkzoNobel. Sikkens Acoat Selected is a global partner programme that recognises the work of the highest quality bodyshops .It is the only established, international network of like-minded, forward-thinking body shops that work both independently and as a national and international network for work providers. As a Sikkens Acoat selected member Autospray has received a huge amount of business support from AkzoNobel over the years.
